Hi, is there a way to play a 16 kHz file without changing the sample rate through the SD wav player. Thank you.
Hi!
The sample rate of the WAV file will be ignored and the Tympan will play back the WAV file at whatever sample rate the Tympan is set to. So, if the WAV file was saved at 16 kHz but your Tympan is set to 44.1kHz, the WAV file will be played at 44.1kHz.
Be aware, however, that because the WAV is being played back too fast, all of the audio (voice, test tones, music…whatever is in your WAV) will be higher pitch and a shorter duration. In some situations, this might be fine. But, in most situations, this is not what you want.
The correct solution, of course, is to use signal processing to convert the sample rate correctly. This is easily done with an interpolation method, but there is not any in the Tympan Library right now. Sorry.
