Where the Arduino IDE looks for libraries

Trying to install my first Tympan example.

Getting Started with Tympan Rev E · Tympan/Docs Wiki · GitHub suggests
“where the Arduino IDE looks for libraries. For example C:\Users\HGeithner\Documents\Arduino\libraries\Tympan_Library”

I have no C:\Users - looks like a Windows thing.

Does it matter where I put them? I’m running Ubuntu.

Thanks.

Or does it go in Arduino/libraries where I found a readme.txt file that says
“For information on installing libraries, see: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Libraries

Looks promising…will study tomorrow.

Yes, it goes in the same place that Arduino says to install any other Arduino library. Your’re right!

I’m sorry that I don’t know where Arduino wants libraries on Linux. :frowning:
